Not all tiles are suitable for outdoor use. The key technical requirements for outdoor tiles are: Frost resistance — tiles must have water absorption below 0.5% to prevent water from penetrating the tile body and causing cracking during freeze-thaw cycles. Slip resistance — outdoor tiles must achieve a minimum R10 anti-slip rating (DIN 51130), with R11 recommended for areas exposed to rain or near water.
