Key Advantages

True Mirror Finish

80–90 GU gloss level achieved through multi-head mechanical polishing — a reflective surface that transforms any interior.

Maximises Light

Polished tiles reflect light across the room, amplifying both natural daylight and artificial lighting for a brighter, more open feel.

Enhances Marble Designs

Polishing brings out the depth and vibrancy of marble-look designs — veining appears more vivid and three-dimensional.

Large Format Available

Available up to 1200×1800mm for grand, slab-like installations in luxury villas, hotel lobbies, and commercial showrooms.

Nano Coating Option

Optional nano-coating provides an invisible protective layer that resists stains, scratches, and daily wear on the polished surface.

Rectified Precision

Mechanically cut edges allow 1.5mm grout joints for a seamless, continuous floor that looks like a single polished slab.

The Art of Polished Tile Manufacturing

Achieving a true mirror-polish finish on porcelain tiles requires precision at every stage of manufacturing. At Livenza Granito, our polished tiles begin as GVT tiles — a vitrified body with a high-quality glaze applied before firing. After the kiln process, the tiles pass through a multi-head polishing line where progressively finer abrasive heads remove micro-roughness from the glaze surface, building up to a final gloss level of 85–90 GU.

The polishing process is carefully calibrated to achieve maximum gloss without compromising the tile thickness or flatness. After polishing, tiles are calibrated and rectified to ensure perfectly flat, precisely sized surfaces for seamless installation. The result is a tile that reflects its surroundings with crystal clarity, enhancing the visual depth of marble and stone designs.

Design Impact of Polished Tiles

The design impact of polished tiles is immediate and dramatic. In a living room, polished marble-look tiles create a sense of grandeur that elevates the entire space. In a hotel lobby, they signal luxury and attention to detail. In a bathroom, they transform a functional space into a spa-like retreat. The reflective surface of polished tiles also has a practical benefit: it maximises the impact of both natural daylight and artificial lighting, reducing the need for additional light sources and creating a naturally bright, welcoming environment.

Our polished tile collections include faithful reproductions of the world's most prized marbles — Statuario, Calacatta Gold, Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, and Emperador Dark — each capturing the unique veining, colour gradients, and translucency of the original stone with remarkable accuracy.

Buying & Installation Tips

Never use polished tiles on wet floor areas — the smooth surface is slippery when wet.
Apply a nano-sealer after installation to protect the polished surface and make routine cleaning easier.
Clean with a microfibre mop and pH-neutral cleaner — avoid abrasive pads that scratch the gloss.
In high-traffic areas, consider lappato (semi-polished) as a practical compromise between gloss and grip.
Pair polished floor tiles with matt wall tiles for a balanced, sophisticated look.
For feature walls, polished tiles create a dramatic effect — especially effective with marble-look designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Livenza Granito polished tiles achieve a gloss level of 85–90 GU (Gloss Units), measured at 60°. This places them in the high-gloss category, producing a clear mirror-like reflection.

Polished tiles are best suited for moderate-traffic areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, and hotel lobbies. For very high-traffic commercial areas, we recommend our full body or matt GVT tiles which offer better abrasion resistance and hide wear more effectively.

Use a pH-neutral floor cleaner and a soft mop. Avoid abrasive cleaners, acidic products (vinegar, lemon), and abrasive scrubbing pads. Place felt pads under furniture. Use entrance mats to reduce grit abrasion. With proper care, polished tiles retain their shine for many years.

Our polished tiles are available in 600x1200mm, 800x1600mm, and 1200x1800mm. Larger formats create a more seamless, slab-like appearance that is particularly effective with marble-look designs.
