Key Advantages

Vitrified at 1200°C+

High-temperature firing creates an ultra-dense body with near-zero porosity — resistant to moisture, stains, and frost.

What Makes Livenza Granito Porcelain Tiles Superior?

Porcelain tiles from Livenza Granito are manufactured using a vitrification process — a high-pressure compaction of refined clay and mineral feldspar, fired at temperatures above 1200°C. This process produces a tile body with water absorption below 0.5%, making it virtually impervious to moisture, stains, and frost. The result is a surface that maintains its beauty and structural integrity for decades, even in the most demanding environments.

Our GVT (Glazed Vitrified Tiles) feature a protective glaze layer applied over the vitrified body, available in matt, rustic, carving, and sugar finishes. Our PGVT (Polished Glazed Vitrified Tiles) undergo an additional mechanical polishing process that creates a mirror-like reflective surface, ideal for luxury interiors. Both variants are available in large formats up to 800x1600mm, enabling seamless, grout-line-minimal installations.

Porcelain Tile Sizes & Design Collections

Our porcelain tile range covers the most in-demand sizes in the market: 600x600mm for versatile floor and wall use, 600x1200mm for modern large-format floors and feature walls, and 800x1600mm for premium, statement installations. Each size is available in multiple design collections including marble-look (Statuario, Calacatta, Carrara), concrete-look, stone-look, and abstract patterns.

Our high-definition digital printing technology reproduces natural stone textures with remarkable accuracy — capturing the fine veining of Italian marble, the raw grain of travertine, and the subtle texture of limestone — all with the practical advantages of porcelain: zero maintenance, no sealing required, and consistent colour across batches.

Technical Specifications

Livenza Granito porcelain tiles meet ISO 13006 Group BIa standards. Key specifications: water absorption <0.5%, breaking strength >1300N (600x1200mm), surface hardness Mohs 6–7, PEI abrasion resistance rating 4–5, DCOF (slip resistance) >0.42 wet, chemical resistance Class A, frost resistance Class F. All tiles are calibrated to ±0.3mm tolerance and rectified for seamless installation with minimal grout joints.

Buying & Installation Tips

For 600×1200mm tiles, ensure substrate flatness is within 3mm over 2m — use self-levelling compound if needed.
Use C2S1 or C2S2 large-format tile adhesive with a 10mm notched trowel for full-bed coverage (minimum 95%).
Always leave perimeter expansion joints (6mm minimum) and field joints every 4–5m — never fill with grout.
PGVT polished tiles are not recommended for wet floor areas — use GVT matt or rustic finish instead.
Order 5–8% extra for a standard straight lay, 10–15% extra for diagonal or herringbone patterns.
Store tiles flat on pallets in a dry area — never store vertically as this can cause warping.

Frequently Asked Questions

GVT (Glazed Vitrified Tiles) have a decorative glaze applied on the vitrified body, available in matt, rustic, carving, and sugar finishes. PGVT (Polished Glazed Vitrified Tiles) are GVT tiles that undergo an additional mechanical polishing step, resulting in a high-gloss, mirror-like surface. PGVT is preferred for luxury interiors, while GVT is chosen for its slip resistance and textured aesthetics.

Yes. Livenza Granito porcelain tiles with water absorption below 0.5% are frost-resistant and suitable for outdoor applications. We recommend our matt or anti-slip finish variants for outdoor floors to ensure adequate slip resistance. Our tiles are UV-stable, meaning colours do not fade with prolonged sun exposure.

We manufacture porcelain tiles in 600x600mm, 600x1200mm, and 800x1600mm. The 600x1200mm is our most popular size for residential and commercial floors. The 800x1600mm is preferred for premium projects requiring a slab-like, minimal-grout appearance.

Porcelain tiles are extremely low-maintenance. Regular sweeping and mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner is sufficient. Unlike natural stone, porcelain does not require sealing. For polished PGVT tiles, avoid abrasive cleaners to preserve the gloss finish. Stubborn stains can be removed with a diluted mild acid cleaner.

Yes. Our porcelain tiles are available in rectified format, meaning the edges are mechanically cut to precise dimensions after firing. Rectified tiles allow for very thin grout joints (as narrow as 1.5mm), creating a seamless, continuous floor appearance that is highly sought after in modern interior design.

Yes, our large-format porcelain slabs (800x1600mm and above) are increasingly used for kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops, and wall cladding. Porcelain is heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and non-porous, making it an excellent alternative to natural stone or quartz for countertop applications.
